When I was in ninth grade, I decided my bedroom needed a makeover. While I had grand plans for new furniture, art and other decorations, my parents had a different vision – a can of paint and me learning how to properly paint a bedroom. After a week of painting, I had little energy left to make new art for my room. To avoid that problem in your house, for a newly painted tween/teen bedroom, look no further than the office supply and craft stores. You’d be surprised at how easy personalized art can be to create!

Instructions
1. Prep your wood canvas by giving it a quick sanding, if needed. After that, paint the front and sides of your canvas and let dry. Depending on your color, add a second coat for the desired shade. |
|
2. With your sticky letters, decide what you want to put on your canvas. Initials? A first name? Apply the stickers and press firmly onto the canvas. Add additional colorful stickers to your design at this point. We used these color coding labels to add additional favorite hues to the design. |
|
3. After your design is complete, it’s time to seal the canvas. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the front and sides of the canvas – the finish is up to you and your crafter! Let dry and apply another thin layer of Mod Podge. Let dry completely. |
