Whether you are just starting out and figuring out your community’s bike lanes, or are a more experienced rider who likes to navigate back wood biking trails, there are plenty of upcoming bike races, rodeos, rides and other family bike events in metro Detroit for any level of biker.

Saturdays in the Park on Hines Drive in Westland

May 7 -Sept. 24, 2022 (Saturdays)

A six-mile stretch of Hines Drive is closed to traffic every Saturday this summer for walkers, skaters and bike riders to enjoy.

Bike With The Mayor

May 15, 2022

Join Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud and his Executive Team for the First Annual Mayor’s Bike Ride through the city. This event is organized by Bike Dearborn. Helmets are encouraged.

Tour D’Eastside

June 4, 2022

The ride will start and end in Alfred Brush Ford and follow a route that will take you through the canal district, East English Village, Morningside, Jefferson Chalmers and more! Virtual option, too. Registration required.

TOUR de TRAIL & EXPO

June 4, 2022

Experience a fun, family-oriented bike ride on Paint Creek Trail. Participants will include bike riders, runners and walkers of all ages. Food trucks and kiosks will offer food and drinks for purchase. Pre-registration required.

HappySoles 5k Run/Walk/Bike

June 5, 2022

  • Address: Heritage Park Pavilion, 12111 Pardee Road, Taylor
  • Cost: $35/5K Walk or Run or Bike, $30/Walk or Run or Bike for Veterans and First Responders, $45/Bike and Run 5K Combo

Racers can run, walk or bike this new route for HappySoles. There is also a virtual option. Registration required.

Pedal the Past Bike Tour

June 30, 2022

Enjoy a bike ride through the city of Rochester. The tour is in partnership with the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. Registration is upcoming.

Tour De Troit Ride at Roosevelt Park

Sept. 17, 2022

There’s a 25.6-mile main ride for newbies and a 62-mile ride for more experienced riders. Both take riders through Detroit’s historic neighborhoods. The ride includes a souvenir t-shirt, a food and beverage coupon and a riding bib. Helmets are mandatory. Registration required.

Northville Tour De Ville

Oct. 1, 2022

This 8th annual event helps raise money for charities and causes.
