Family Easter Events in Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor

Hippity hop, Easter is on its way (on April 4, 2021, to be exact)! The Easter Bunny has been spotted around town, and there are tons of socially distanced Easter events to celebrate his arrival in Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties!

Metro Parent has compiled this list of some of the coolest egg hunts, drive thru Easter Bunny visits and other family Easter events in the area to help ease your search for the right event for your family.

Pisanki Egg Decorating at the Polish Art Center

March 20 and 28, 2021

Kids ages 7 and up will learn how to decorate traditional Eastern European Easter eggs at this Hamtramck spot. Pre-register on the Polish Art Center’s website. Class space is limited due to COVID-19.

Eggs on Wheels at the Southfield Pavilion

March 26, 2021

Enjoy a socially-distant visit with the Easter Bunny at this drive-thru event.

Bunny Brunch at Civic Park Senior Center

March 27, 2021

There are games, crafts, snacks and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Timed registration is required.

RARA Easter Egg Hunt at Rochester Park

March 27, 2021

Ages 1-5 get to hunt for eggs at 10:15 a.m. and older kids ages65-11 get a crack at the fun at 10:45 a.m. There’s a photo op with the Easter Bunny, too, so be sure to bring your camera. Pre-registration is required.

Egg Hunt at Heritage Park in Farmington

March 27, 2021

Hop on down the Bunny Trail to hunt for eggs and gather goodies at the various treat stations. Pre-registration required.

Eggstravaganza at Macomb Township Recreation Center

March 27, 2021

Hit the Hippity Hop Trail and visit with Mr. E. Bunny at this Easter celebration. There will be games and live farm animals, too. Tickets sell fast. Advance registration required. Due to COVID-19, this event may become a drive-thru.

Easter Jamboree at Heritage Park in Canton

March 27, 2021

Enjoy a socially-distant visit with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, musical entertainment and more. Registration is required.

Flashlight Egg Hunt at Hudson Mills Metropark

March 27, 2021

Kids 8-plus use a flashlight to hunt for eggs in the dark. Registration required. A maximum of 10 people allowed during each session.

Easter Egg Hunt at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada

March 28, 2021

Enjoy an egg hunt, train rides around the orchard and meet-and-greets with the Easter Bunny.

Bunnyville at the Detroit Zoo

March 29-April 3, 2021

This annual shebang returns to the zoo and includes six days of treats, games and costumed characters and more. Capacity is limited to 2400 during the event.

Advanced Easter Egg Hunt at Indian Springs Metropark

March 31-April 7, 2021

Enjoy an Easter egg hunt with a geocaching twist. Advanced registration required.

Fun on the Farm: Egg Hunt at Kensington Metropark

April 1, 2021

Enjoy an egg scramble at the farm center and visit with the Easter Bunny. Advanced registration and face masks required.

Bunny Hop Drive Thru

April 2, 2021

This drive-thru Easter event offers goodies for kids and a special drive-by with the Easter Bunny.

Springfest at the Saline Recreation Center

April 3, 2021

Collect eggs scattered throughout the park. A few eggs will have a sticker for a special prize.

Canterbury Eggstravaganza at Old World Canterbury Village

April 3, 2021

The Easter Bunny releases colorful eggs from his helicopter. Find some and trade them in for a prize. Lawn games, photo ops and crafts, too.
