Farmington Hills Family Funfest

Summer might be fast coming to a close but that doesn’t mean the fun is over. Get in one last shebang before the leaves change, the weather gets nippy and your kids head back to the classroom at the Farmington Hills Family Funfest, happening at Founder’s Sports Park Aug. 20-23, 2015.

This annual community carnival features tons of fun for everyone, from teens to toddlers. This year, families will find a full midway, complete with both thrilling rides for tweens and teens along with gentle rides for younger kids. There will also be a variety of traditional carnival games that dot the walkways of the midway, a petting farm, pony rides, live musical entertainment and live performance.

Be sure to bring your appetite when you come because this fest offers some of the best fair food. Funnel cakes, anyone?

The Farmington Hills Family Funfest happens at Founders Sports Park, two miles east of I-275 on Eight Mile in Farmington Hills.

Hours are as follows:

  • Thursday-Friday: 5-11 p.m.
  • Saturday: noon-11 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon-9 p.m.

Admission to the carnival is free, but ride tickets are $1 a piece or $18 for an unlimited ride wristband. Rides require three-four tickets per ride and height restrictions may apply for some rides.
