Great Lakes Art Fair at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi

Find art, artists and displays, plus food and entertainment, at the annual Great Lakes Art Fair, which sets up shop at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, April 6-7, 2019.

Families with an appreciation for art looking for entertainment, food and fun in southeast Michigan can head to the Great Lakes Art Fair at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi April 6-7, 2019.

Stroll around the venue with your family to see more than 100 artists displaying their work in media ranging from glass and ceramics to fiber, metal and paints – just to name a few.

Like the jewelry, paintings and other pieces of art you see? You’ll be able to purchase some original art here. Keep an eye out for ongoing demonstrations as you explore this art fair, as well.

The art fair, partnering with local school districts, will display student art at the event, too, as part of the Generation Next art displays.

Tummies rumbling? Swing by the Maketplace Cafe, with bistro-style food choices adorning the menu. It’s located right at the center of the show floor and “mirrors the look and feel of a cozy street cafe,” organizers note on the site.

Admission is $7/person, free/ages 12 and under. Plus, parking is free! Strollers are allowed at the event. Dates and times for the art fair are as follows:

  • 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday
