Hawkfest at Lake Erie Metropark

Celebrate the fall migration of birds of prey at the 22nd annual Hawkfest at Lake Erie Metropark! The popular Brownstown park hosts this two-day event Sept. 17-18, 2011 – where you and your family can get a look at the hawks as they migrate.

Live birds will be visiting for presentations, along with guest speakers. In addition, games, arts and crafts and more are in store for kids.

A Hawfest breakfast happens 9-10 a.m. at the cost of $5/person. Registration is not required for the breakfast – or the main hawk-watching event, which happens 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on both days. However, there is a $5/vehicle entrance fee for the park.

See the Metro Parent listing for more on the 2011 Hawkfest at Lake Erie Metropark in Brownstown, Michigan.
