Historic Davisburg Heritage Festival

This annual fest celebrates the city of Davisburg with historic displays, live music, a parade and more family fun. Catch it all on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019.

Do you and your family get excited at the prospect of old-school family fun? Or do you just feel like unplugging from fast-paced modern life for a day? Then the Davisburg Heritage Festival is a can’t-miss event for you.

This 10th annual September festival, which is held in the historic downtown Davisburg area, returns 8 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, with live music, antique tractor displays, wagon rides, historical demonstrations, kids activities and much more.

It all kicks off bright and early at the Hart Community Center. Swing by starting at 8 a.m. for a delicious pancake breakfast and antique tractor display – or, if you prefer, catch a color run and classic car show at Davisburg Elementary.

Downtown Davisburg offers even more fun starting with candle factory tours and demonstrations at 9 a.m. Plus, a parade on Davisburg Road from Shultz Park to the Springfield Civic Center starting at noon.

After the parade, the Shiawassee Basin Preserve hosts balloons, face painting, inflatables, crafts and a petting zoo for kids, along with food trucks, wagon rides and historical demonstrations for the whole family.

Then, from 3 to 11 p.m. there’s fun for adults in the form of live music by Elvis impersonator Ron Short and The Cover Bandits.

And that’s not all. There’s even more historic fun to be had on the Storybook Trail, which tells the story of the founding of Springfield and runs all day.

The annual Davisburg Heritage Festival runs 8 a.m.-11 p.m. in downtown Davisburg. Admission is free, as are most activities – though some do require a nominal charge.
