The viral fried chicken restaurant is serving up over-the-top Halal eats like loaded chicken sandwiches, mouthwatering smash burgers and chicken and waffles, plus milkshakes topped with all of your favorite sweets.

You won’t find a kid’s menu at Holy Cluck, but not to worry. There are so many kid-approved items, sides and bite-sized orders that are sure to satisfy your kiddos. Check out our recommendations for ordering for kids, and start planning your next meal at Holy Cluck with these menu highlights for families.

Holy Cluck menu highlights for families

Wings, tenders and nuggies

Start off by ordering for the kids — or order enough to share with the entire fam!

While Holy Cluck does not offer a dedicated kid’s menu, littles can munch on tenders and chicken nuggies. Enjoy your chicken dipped in your choice of sauce that ranges from mild and barbecue, to Asian sesame and garlic parmesan. Add a side option like fries (options include waffle fries, garlic parmesan fries and cheese fries,) or macaroni and cheese to make it a full meal.

Chicken sandwiches and wraps

The signature Holy Cluck sandwich comes with Nashville hot spice fried chicken, slaw, pickles and Holy Sauce. Dress your sandwich down with the Classic or Cluck options, or go all out with the Mac Buster — fried chicken, smoked cheddar, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, ranch and hot honey butter — or a Cluckin’ Grilled Cheese. With everything from barbecue to Southwest, and even a Chicken Parm on the menu, you’ll find halal fried chicken options for everyone’s taste buds.

Classic, caesar and CBR (cheddar, bacon and ranch) chicken wraps are also offered with your choice of crispy or grilled chicken.

Un-holy Smashburgers

Crispy chicken isn’t the only thing that Holy Cluck specializes in. The restaurant currently has seven drool-worthy smash burgers on the menu. The classic American Smash is easily a go-to option for burger fans, but we love the other inventive flavors on the menu, too. Go tropical with the Hawaiian Smash — swiss cheese, grilled pineapple, lettuce and teriyaki sauce — or go spicy with the Southwest Smash — pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, fire-roasted corn, bacon, an onion ring and southwest sauce.

1922 Milkshakes

We hope you saved room for dessert! Seriously, you’re going to need a second stomach to polish off some of these decadent milkshakes.

There are currently 10 over-the-top shakes on the menu, as well as four classic options in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and Oreo. Each 1922 milkshake comes topped with wildly delicious toppings like cookies, candy, cereal and even entire ice cream bars!

Take the signature Holy Shake, for example. This salty-and-sweet combo combines vanilla ice cream with strawberry, maple syrup and cinnamon sugar, then is topped with chicken and waffles and a dollop of whipped cream. Talk about making a meal out of a milkshake!

Owner Ali A. Bazzi  calls Holy Cluck a “one stop shop” for chicken and beef sandwiches, over-the-top milkshakes and amazing customer service. We talked to Bazzi about his love for the Detroit foodie scene and for his personal menu recommendations.

What inspires you about the metro Detroit food scene?

“Before I became a restaurant owner, I was a social media foodie trying out local restaurants all over metro Detroit. The food scene is so unique because of the diverse local restaurants we have. Holy Cluck took the traditional Nashville American chicken shop and expanded it with some hints of our culture — for example, the Lebanese-style smash burger.

What do you recommend for first-time diners?

For first time customers, Bazzi recommends the signature Holy Cluck chicken sandwich or the Cluckin’ Grilled Cheese

“I would also recommend they try any one of our 7 smash burgers,” added Bazzi. “The smash burgers have really been the star of the show ever since we dropped them [a few months ago].”

Which menu items are most popular for kids?

While there is no dedicated kids menu, you’re likely to find some of your child’s favorite foods on the menu at Holy Cluck — including chicken tenders, nuggets, fries, grilled cheese and milkshakes.

“We are a kid’s dream place to eat,” said Bazzi. “We opened our first location in Dearborn Heights intentionally because Riverside Middle School was right across the street, and we knew we catered to the younger crowd as well. The kids are a big part of our success.”

Bazzi’s go-to order?

“My personal favorite things to eat at Holy Cluck would be the Holy Cluck Sandwich, a Bacon Honey Sriracha Smash Burger, a side of fries with ranch and, of course, a Lotus Lovers Milkshake.
