Where can I go berry picking this weekend in metro Detroit?

It’s so nice getting fresh, local produce from the farmers’ market, but there’s nothing like picking your own berries and taking them home with you. Here are a few berry picking farms you must check out:

🍓 Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill

Best known for apples and donuts in the fall, Blake’s also shines in summer with sweet, ripe strawberries. Multiple locations, a lavender field and plenty of farm fun make this a must-visit.

🫐 Dexter Blueberry Farm

Blueberries have been growing here in Dexter since 1937. Grab a bucket (or bring your own) and fill it with fresh berries, straight from the bush. Picking typically starts mid-July.

🍒 Spicer Orchards

Strawberries kick off the season, followed by cherries and blueberries — plus wagon rides, a winery for the grown-ups, and a fun family atmosphere for all ages.
