Lego-Themed Activities for Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor Kids

Build some memories with these brick-tastic Lego experiences.

Is your child obsessed with all things Lego? (Let’s be honest, what kid isn’t?) Whether they stay up to date on the latest sets or are devoted minifig collectors, these events will take their passion for building to the next level.

Building and collecting Lego sets can be a great pastime for little learners, but all those pieces can take up a lot of space (and money!) That’s why these brick-tastic Lego-themed experiences go beyond the Lego store to include Lego conventions, games, exhibits and even stores that offer trade-in credit for your gently used sets. Now let’s get building!

The Lego Store

If your child loves Lego, then they’ll love the Lego Store at Somerset Collection. More than just a toy store, this location is home to The Minifigure Factory, a custom minifigure creator that lets kids mix and match endless combinations to create their own unique Lego character.

Bricks and Minifigs

Is your child ready for a new Lego set? Instead of adding even more Lego bricks to their growing collection, encourage them to trade in their old sets at Bricks & Minifigs. This store is reimagining the future of Lego by encouraging customers to buy, sell and trade in their old sets for gently used ones. The fun is never ending!

Legoland Discovery Center

Inside Great Lakes Crossing Outlets lies Legoland Discovery Center. At this family fun center that contains millions of Lego bricks, kids can build and race Lego cars, climb and swing through Lego City Play Zone, play interactive and VR Lego-themed games and — of course — pick up a new set at the Lego store. There’s so much fun to be had at Legoland! Day passes start at $23.99.

Lego Show

This Lego trade show is a buyer’s paradise! Browse Lego collections and minifig displays in a flea market-style setting. While you’re there, pick up a new Lego set to keep the fun going at home.

Calling all Lego lovers! Brick Fest is coming to Novi this spring. This family event is for the biggest brick fans out there. Play in a Brick Pit, race Lego derby cars, build in the themed zones and enjoy a weekend full of hands-on fun.
