Metro Parent’s Instagram Summer Scavenger Hunt

We'll provide you with a themed scavenger hunt list each week. Search for the items at home and tag us on Insta with photos from your hunt for a chance to be featured.

Looking for something fun to do close to home this summer? We’ve got you covered with our Instagram Summer Scavenger Hunt.

Every Monday from July 20-Aug. 31, we’ll share a themed list of items for kids to find on Instagram. Kids will have one full week to find each of the five items on the list.

As you participate, share photos of your finds on Instagram with #MPMoment. We’ll share some of our favorites with our followers.

It’s that simple! Follow us on Instagram @MetroParentMag to keep up with our weekly themes or check back here for periodic updates.

Week one: July 20-26, 2020

This week’s theme is “Colors.” Try to find something blue, something red, something yellow, something orange and something purple!

Week two: July 27-Aug. 2

This week we want to encourage you and your family to get outside in search of things found in “Nature.”

Week three: Aug. 3-9

Hit the kitchen, garden or grocery store and see if you can find all the items on our “Food” list.

Week four: Aug. 10-16

Week four is here and this week is all about opposites! See if you can find all the things that are opposite from one another on our list!

Week five: Aug. 17-23

We’re going back in time during week five of our scavenger hunt with this week’s theme “older than you.”

Week six: Aug. 24-30

Get your kids up, moving and wiggling during the sixth week of our Summer Scavenger Hunt, which is themed to “movement.”

The final week of our Summer Scavenger Hunt is here and this week, we’re all about exploring “shapes.”

This post is updated weekly through Labor Day 2020.
