Must-Have Crafty Tool: Martha Stewart’s Glitter Cleanup Roller

Every now and then, I find a crafting tool that I simply can’t live without. I recently saw the Martha Stewart Glitter Cleanup Roller at the craft store and was intrigued. Is it a fancy lint roller? Will this really pick up glitter – the hard-to-clean crafting supply that drives most crafters and parents crazy?! It’s a mix of all of the above. And something you need to have in your crafting toolbox.

The Glitter Cleanup Roller looks a bit like a lint roller. It’s got a nice little ergonomic design that’s a cinch to grip.
Bonus: It conveniently folds up for easy storage – and to protect the sticky roller inside. Smart design: Gotta love that.
The blue roller is small, but does a great job for crafty spills. I’ve found that glitter is picked up right away, but other small crafting discards, like paper scraps or thread, are also easily scooped up in the process, too.
Here’s a test run of the Glitter Cleanup Roller. I sprinkled a fair amount of glitter on a piece of paper and put the roller to the test!
A few rolls back and forth grab almost all of that sparkly mess. As you can see, it does a pretty darn thorough job.
Here’s a view of the offending glitter, tidily stuck to the blue roller. To clean the roller, simply run it under warm water and remove the debris with your fingers. Let dry on a towel before using again. So the next time you’re at the craft store, keep an eye out for the Glitter Cleanup Roller. It’s a great tool to have on hand for your next craft project.
