Novi Equestrian Expo at the Suburban Collection Showplace

Saddle up for the three-day Novi Equestrian Expo, an event guaranteed to be non-stop entertainment, workshops and shopping perfect for those who love horses.

On Dec. 2-4, 2016 at the Suburban Collection Showplace, enjoy entertainment and exhibitions centered on becoming a professional rider and understanding your steed. If you are looking to update or add to your equestrian collection there will be exhibitors selling everything from handcrafted saddles to grooming items for your majestic animal. There will be information about trail riding and a breed showcase for your enjoyment.

Special guests will be featured at this year’s expo, including Peggy Brown of Anatomy in Motion, who is an expert instructor from Ohio, as well as one of the most popular clinicians, Stacy Westfall. Anke Lendeckel, founder of Nature’s Rehab, LLC, will speak about the benefits for EQ Massage and why it’s suggested, and will demonstrate a nine-step pain evaluation for horses. These are just a few of the speakers at this three-day event.

Don’t forget to check out even more of the featured entertainment, including the Dancing with Horse Musical Variety Show, live blacksmithing and the opportunity to ride a pony with Green Acres. A portion of proceeds from rides will be donated to one of the rescue groups at the expo!

Saturday, Dec. 3, there will be an All-Breed Model Horse show with entry divisions OF Breyer Traditional/Classic (breed/collectability), OF Breyer Mini (breed/collectability), Custom Traditional/Classic (breed/workmanship), Custom Mini (breed/workmanship) and many more.

On Sunday, shop at the Used Tackle Sale, which benefits local 4-H programs. People will be selling gently-used riding apparel, saddles, bridles and more.

Admission is $10/adults and kids ages 12-plus, $5/kids ages 6-11, and free/kids under 5. Admission for those 55-plus will be $5 on Friday, which is Senior Day. You can also find a $2 off coupon online. Parking is $5/regular-sized vehicles, $10/larger vehicles.

Times for the Novi Equestrian Expo are as follows:

  • 2-8 p.m. Friday
  • 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday
