Peach Festival in Romeo

Downtown Romeo is the place to be this Labor Day weekend as the Peach Festival celebrates its big 80th birthday year!

This five-day event, running Sept. 1-5, 2011, has something for everyone, including a parade, car show, 5K walk, tennis tournament – and KidFest, which takes place on Saturday. This special day for kids features a potato sack race, three-legged race, book balance race, pie eating contest and more.

Admission to the event is free; however, some fees apply for carnival ride wristbands. Event times are as follows:

  • Thursday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7 a.m.-1 a.m.
  • Monday: 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m.
