Plymouth Art in the Park

The 40th installment of the massive Plymouth Art in the Park art fair features the work of more than 400 artists in downtown Plymouth, July 12-14, 2019.

Is your tyke the type that’s always drawing the the walls or making food “art”? Be sure to bring him or her to the 40th installment of Michigan’s second largest art fair, Plymouth Art in the Park, returning to downtown Plymouth July 12-14, 2019.

This annual signature event draws more than 400 artists from all across the U.S. and features work in painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, glass, woodwork, photography and more for a weekend-long celebration of all things art.

It’s not all just beautiful things for sale (and window shopping), though. This fair brings art to life – literally – with The Living Mural, along with George Tait’s Living Statue on Compass at Main Street and Ann Arbor Trail.

You’ll also find a chalk mural, live musical and stage performances, candle making, henna, face painting and “sandy candy” art, too.

While there’s plenty of performance art and hands-on crafts for grown-ups and kids alike, the standout piece – the Children’s Mural – is a must for families.

Bring your kiddos and let them put their creative touch on this massive canvas, which will be donated to Isbister Elementary School at the close of the fair.

If you’re ready for some giant art fun, head to quaint downtown Plymouth July 12-14, 2019. Admission is free and hours are as follows:

  • Friday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
