Celebrate Pride Month at Kid-Friendly Events in Metro Detroit

Families can celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride at one of these 2025 Pride Month events in Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor.

June is Pride Month — a time to honor, uplift and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. Families across metro Detroit and Ann Arbor can join in the celebration with a wide array of inclusive, family-friendly events happening throughout the summer. From colorful parades and storytimes to yoga in the park and vibrant dance parties, there are so many ways for families to show their support, learn together and have fun.

Whether you’re looking to attend your first Pride event or you’re a seasoned celebrator, there’s something for everyone — and every age — at these joyful gatherings.

Here are some of our favorite Pride 2025 events happening in metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and beyond.

Ypsi Pride in Depot Town

June 6, 2025

  • Address: Depot Town, Ypsilanti 
  • Cost: Free

Sport your rainbow gear for the Pride event. There will be local vendors, live entertainment on two stages, family-friendly events and more.

Motor City Pride Fest at Hart Plaza

June 7-8, 2025

  • Address: 1 Hart Plaza, Detroit
  • Cost: $5/admission, free/ages 12 and under

Motor City Pride is known as Michigan’s largest pride celebration with over 65,000 participants in their pride events. The parade takes place on Sunday.

Zion Pride: Donation Based Yoga at Riverside Park

June 8, 2025

  • Address: 2 E. Cross St., Ypsilanti
  • Cost: $25/donation

Raise money for incredible LGBTQIA+ non-profits in Michigan at this event. Enjoy an all-levels yoga class, live music, mental health resources and more.

Family Pride at the Farmers Market at Royal Oak Farmers Market

June 11, 2025

  • Address: 316 E. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak
  • Cost: Free admission

Families can come by for a fun-filled day to celebrate Pride. There will be local food trucks, live performances and tons of kids activities. Kids activities include bounce houses, a craft table, balloon art and face painting.

Color Our World with a Pride Storytime at Mount Clemens Public Library

June 21, 2025

  • Address: 150 Cass Ave., Mount Clemens 
  • Cost: Free

All ages can join Mx. Mari for songs, stories and a craft to kick off Pride Month.

Color Our World with a Pride Family Dance Party at Mount Clemens Public Library

Wear your rainbow colors and enjoy an afternoon dance party with your family at Mount Clemens Public Library.

Grosse Pointe Pride by WE GP

June 21, 2025

  • Address: Downtown Grosse Pointe
  • Cost: Free

Families can enjoy a walk around downtown Grosse Pointe for Pride-themed activities. There will also be a family-friendly drag performance, selfie station, crafts, activism opportunities and more. 

Macomb County Pride: 4th Annual Pride Festival in Downtown Mount Clemens

Aug. 16, 2025

  • Address: Downtown Mount Clemens
  • Cost: Free admission

This annual Pride festival features youth activities, performers, a street fair with diverse street vendors, food trucks and more.
