Greenfield Village Salute to America in Dearborn

Greenfield Village Salute to America returns July 3-6, 2019, with its annual concert series by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

If you or your kids like the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and celebrating Independence Day, don’t miss this four-day event. The DSO returns for the annual Salute to America celebration at Greenfield Village, July 3-6, 2019.

The grounds for the concerts open at 6 p.m. each night, and families can have a picnic, play some games and enjoy other family-friendly activities leading up to the evening’s grand event.

Bring your blankets and folding chairs to set up on the lawn (there isn’t assigned seating, so be sure to get there early to get a good spot!) Each night, in addition to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the United States Army Field Band will perform alongside them.

The grand finale will be the DSO performing Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” with authentic cannon fire – on top of the amazing fireworks display to accompany them. There’s no better way to kick off Fourth of July weekend than with cannon fire and fireworks!

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online. Prices for this event are $32/adults, $24/kids 5-11 and free for kids 4 and under. Discounted prices are available for members of the Henry Ford or DSO Subscriber. Parking is $6.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! Pictures are allowed in all areas of the village.
