Some of Dr. Seuss's most memorable characters will star in the music-filled, family-friendly show Seussical Jr. at Warren Community Center Nov. 2-4, 2012.
The musical – featuring more than 120 kids and teens 7-18 years old from the Warren Civic Theatre – will focus on the tale of Horton the Elephant, who finds Whos living on a speck of dust. Horton runs into trouble throughout the show, because he has to protect the Whos, but he also has to keep an eye on an abandoned egg.
Horton will be teased, too, but through it all, Gertrude McFuzz will stand by his side.
For kids and parents who grew up reading Dr. Seuss books, this musical stage show adaption of the classic stories will be fun for the whole family.
"You will love this show!" says Jacob Boida, one of the actors who plays Horton, according to the Warren Civic Theatre press release. "Adults will be able to relive a part of their childhood while kids will enjoy the high energy of the show."
Greg Trzaskoma, founder of the 22-year-old theatre group, directs the show, which will take place at the Warren Community Center.
