Have you ever wanted to take a journey back in history to a divine land? You now have your chance! Shen Yun Performing Arts explores the mysteries and beauties of a lost world with classical Chinese dance and music Feb. 16-25, 2018 at the Detroit Opera House.
This performance has left “millions around the world in awe,” according to the troupe. Stepping back into the divine culture of the Middle Kingdom, the Shen Yun show combines history with elegance, style and grace throughout this performance.
Unravel a new world of classical Chinese dance while embracing the exquisite styles of ethnic and folk dances. Be inspired and amazed by the invigorating sounds of the orchestra as they combine eastern and western sounds. You are sure to enjoy the layers of beautiful colors in the dancers’ outfits, accompanied with amazing animated backdrops.
Delve into a land of “heroes and sages, dragons and phoenixes, emperors and immortals, Shen Yun notes. Every beat of the drum, each dance movement and every music note will familiarize you to the “Land of the Divine.” Come dressed to impress with the rest of your family by your side.
Kids must be five or older to attend the show. Tickets range $80-$160. Shen Yun performance times at the Detroit Opera House are as follows:
- 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Fridays
- 2 and 7 p.m. Saturdays
- 1 p.m. Sundays (with a special 6 p.m. Show on Sunday, Feb. 25)
