Get hands-on at the latest and greatest science exhibit by having the opportunity to see and touch many living sea creatures, like starfish, freshwater stingrays and other underwater inhabitants. Spend the day learning in-depth information about sea horses and other tropical fish found on coral reefs by participating in all activities the displays and demos have to offer. Your family can learn all about the importance of coral reefs at the exhibit, plus get hands on at the sand table building a sand castle!
Your kid doesn’t have to dream of becoming a marine biologist to have fun at this exhibit. There is something for everyone who attends.
Even after a jam-packed day discovering all there is to know about the deep blue sea, swing by the Michigan Science Center’s IMAX theater and experience ocean life on a whole new level. Enjoying the life-like film, Journey to the South Pacific, is a great way to end a day full of fun and adventure for the entire family.
Take a plunge into the new exhibit beginning June 21-Aug. 31, 2014, by coming to the Michigan Science Center during their visiting hours:
- Wednesdays-Fridays: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (closed Friday, July 4)
- Saturdays: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Sundays: noon-6 p.m.
Note: The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Pricing for this exhibit is $16/adults and $13/kids ages 2-12. It includes general admission to hundreds of hands-on exhibits, live stage shows and cool lab demos for a full day of fun. Note that IMAX shows are an additional fee.
