Up until recently, a Topgolf Michigan location was tough to find. But now that’s changed, thanks to a destination that’s opened up in Oakland County.
Parents who want to practice their swing or just grab a bite to eat with the kids can do both at Topgolf’s first Michigan location.
The sports entertainment company opened its three-story, 65,000-square-foot Auburn Hills location at Great Lakes Crossing on Dec. 7, 2018.
“Topgolf is about bringing people together and creating great times for all, and we want our venue to be a second home for everyone in this community,” Topgolf Detroit-Auburn Hills director of operations Brian Birckbichler said in a press release.
The new spot – the Texas-based Topgolf’s 51st location in the country – offers heated hitting bays, food, music, events and more.
A popular feature is its point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen.
All ages and skill levels are welcome, Topgolf notes, including those who don’t golf at all.
This destination joins a variety of other family attractions at the popular outlet mall, including the Sea Life Michigan Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center.
This Topgolf Michigan location at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is located at 500 Great Lakes Crossing Drive in Auburn Hills, along the southwest corner of I-75 and Joslyn Road.
Its standard of operation are 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday. Check ahead, as some special hours may apply.
