Ultimate Fishing Show at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi

Fishermen and women of all ages are invited to check out what's new at Ultimate Fishing Show in Novi, Jan. 9-12, 2020.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to attend the upcoming Ultimate Fishing Show in Novi, consider this: An indoor lake is just one of the many cool attractions you’ll find.

The 110,000-gallon “Lake Ultimate” – allowing for more innovative fishing seminars – will make its home inside the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi starting Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020. The expo, known as the Midwest’s biggest pure fishing show, continues through Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020.

Fishing enthusiasts will get to browse a huge selection of ice fishing gear, fishing tackle, fishing boats and more at the event. In addition to the indoor lake, guest fishing experts will also offer seminars and fishing demonstrations in the 5,000-gallon “Hawg Trough” and keep people entertained with lots of audience participation.

Kids and adults can test their skills in the trout pond (small fee applies) and have the chance to win a prize. Other event features include a fish fry, a fly fishing area and virtual fishing simulator.

And if you’re interested in learning more about a specific fishing topic, you’ll be at the right place. Consider the Ultimate Walleye and Ultimate Bass Clinics on Jan. 11, the Ultimate Salmon Clinic on Jan. 12 – or various mini clinics offered throughout the event.
