We’re less than a month away from Valentine’s Day – how is your child’s selection of Valentine craft supplies looking these days? From jars upon jars of red glitter to puffy conversation heart stickers, your child has a lot to choose from when it comes to DIY Valentines! One of my go-to sources for craft supplies, especially during a holiday, is Paper Source. I took a look at this year’s offering from Paper Source and pulled a few of my favorite kits your child is sure to love making for their classroom Valentine exchange.
Superhero Valentines Kit
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Wonder Woman fan or can’t live without Spider-Man, the Superhero Valentines Kit will please them all! This kit, which makes 32 valentines, comes with everything your child will need to start making cards – you just add a glue stick. The kit makes enough valentines for your child to present a handmade card to every student in her class! A valentine greeting is printed on the hero cape, so all your child needs to add is her name. Kapow, indeed!
Fruit Friends Valentines Kit
For a sweeter Valentine offering, look no further than the Fruit Friends Valentines Kit. Making 30 cards that range from grapes to watermelons, this kit allows your child to add extra personalization touches to make each card one-of-a-kind. A sticker valentine wish on the back gives them a place to sign their name, too.
All-Star Valentines Kit
Thinking beyond the classroom, what about exchanging valentines with your child’s sports team? Paper Source has a card for that, too. Another one of Paper Source’s all-new kit offerings this year, well-known sports accessories receive the cute valentine treatment thanks to silly googly eyes and sweet smiles. The kit costs $14.95 and creates 30 cards, so each Valentine is under 50 cents to give. Talk about a great price!
Is your child hoping for some crafting time to create cards all from their own designs? Paper Source has a roundup of heart-themed supplies online that you can find in their stores as well. Don’t forget, we have three stores in Michigan: Birmingham, Ann Arbor and Rochester Hills.
While you’re thinking about valentine crafting, make sure to have your calendar ready. Paper Source is offering a tween-only card workshop on Feb. 6 at its locations across the U.S. Full of hashtags and valentine unicorns (yep!), these quick-to-create cards are sure to be a hit with tweens.
Don’t have enough time for a full workshop? Don’t worry. Now through Valentine’s Day, Paper Source is offering a make-and-take card activity in their stores. No registration needed and you can pick which card you like. Using washi tape and pre-cut shapes, these cards are definitely kid friendly.
Whether it’s a kit for the classroom or a stack of brand new stickers, make sure to stop by Paper Source soon to replenish your child’s valentine craft stash.
