Valentine’s Day isn’t all about couples. The whole family can get in on some love-themed activities in southeast Michigan with stories at local spots, Valentine arts and crafts and so much more!

In fact, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties are packed full of in-person and virtual Valentine’s Day events for families in February 2022. Take a peek at this list and head out to the perfect activity to celebrate your 2022 Valentine’s Day.

Valentine Hearts — Virtual with Jasmin’s Art Studio

Join Jasmin’s Art Studio for a virtual class on Zoom. Students ages 7-12 will draw and decorate hearts using watercolors, markers and sharpies.

Conversation Heart Hand Warmers for Teens with the Royal Oak Public Library

Teens will be able to pick up craft supplies and use basic embroidery and sewing skills to turn flannel and rice into a reusable hand warmer. Registration is required.

The Dating Game at Red Oaks Nature Center

Bring your significant other to the Red Oaks Nature Center to count the ways animals show their affection during this Valentine’s Day-themed event. This program is suitable for ages 16 and older.

A Love Me Workshop at the Brighton District Library
