This year, Mother’s Day is all about togetherness, even when we can’t be together with our extended family. There are some great virtual Mother’s Day events in Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and across the country to make quarantine memories worthy on May 10. Here are a few of our favorites.

BollyGroove Mother’s Day Virtual Dance Party

  • When: May 10
  • Time: 10 a.m. or 3 p.m.
  • Cost: $15

Join moms from around the country as we all dance and celebrate motherhood together. Learn and dance to a cute routine with your kid.

Cook with Mom: Online Livestream Pizza Making Class

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 12:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $20 individual, $25 pair

Kids and parents can learn to make pizza in an hour. Register for ingredients list and link to class.

Fine Mommy Gang Virtual Mother’s Say Brunch

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Cost: 5-$35

This virtual Mother’s Day event delivers a chef-made brunch, fruit bouquets and mimosas to your door and then brings brunch to life on Instagram Live.

Livestream Virtual Mother’s Day Painting Party

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 2 p.m.
  • Cost: $20 individual, $30 pair.

Each mother-daughter or mother-son pair will create together one painting made of two paintings on two canvases: each person will paint on an individual canvas that will be the matching half to their partner’s painting, and vice versa. Recommended supplies: a canvas or canvas board, a big brush, a skinny brush, a water cup, paper towel, a plate, a pencil and an eraser, paint (blue, yellow, red, black, and white), and an apron or painting clothes.

Miss Jamie’s Farm Mother’s Day Virtual Concert

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 10 a.m.
  • Cost: $10 or pay what you can

Parents and kids can enjoy an hour of songs from popular Chicago-area musician Miss Jamie on the Farm in a virtual concert hosted by Chicago Parent Magazine and Metro Parent Magazine.

Mother’s Day Bootcamp

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 9-9:45 a.m.
  • Cost: Free

All fitness levels and ages are welcome to join in a 45-minute bootcamp to celebrate Mother’s Day. Enjoy a series of exercises via Facebook and Instagram Live.

Virtual Mother’s Day Party

  • Date: May 10
  • Time: 6 p.m.
  • Cost: $30

Get all of your creative juices flowing and pot an aloe vera plant to add or start your collection. Register in advance to receive your plant before the party.

Virtual Mother’s Day 5K

  • When: May 10
  • Cost: $40

Sign up for a 5K, 10K or half-marathon and then make your own route with your mom. You’ll get a t-shirt and a “Mom Strong” medal.
