June is Pride Month, and metro Detroit and Ann Arbor families can celebrate and support the LGBTQIA community with a variety of virtual and in-person pride events.

Ferndale Pride

Ferndale Pride celebrates Pride Month with a variety of activities throughout the month. Check the full event list here to see what’s happening and be sure to watch for updates about the Pride Festival, which is set for Oct. 2, 2021.

Drag Queen Story Hour

Tune in on Facebook during select dates in June to enjoy Pride-themed stories read by a company of drag queens.

Ypsi Pride Month

June 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2021

  • Location: Downtown Ypsilanti Area

Ypsi Pride is celebrating Pride Month with special events every Friday, including Family and Youth Night on June 11. Come in-person or watch the performances online.

5th Annual Pride March and Family Picnic

June 5, 2021

The Pride parade steps off at Pierce Park and heads downtown to the church where families can enjoy a picnic filled with lawn games, music and fun. Be sure to bring your own food.

Motor City Pride Live

June 5, 2021

  • Location: Virtual
  • Time: 3-5 p.m.

Tune into Motor City Pride this year to celebrate Pride with a marketplace and artwork for sale. This year’s Pride festival is set to happen in-person in September. Click here for details.

Pride Night with the Detroit Tigers

June 11, 2021

Wear rainbows and treat the kids to an inclusive night of baseball.

Livingston Pride Parade

June 20, 2021

  • Location: Downtown Howell area
  • Time: 1 p.m.

This event starts with a speech on the Courthouse lawn and heads through downtown. Be sure to wear your Pride gear.

Pride OUTside

July 9, 2021

Keep the Pride Month fun going at this outdoor event, which features guest speakers, live music, food trucks and much more.

Ann Arbor Pride Virtual Celebration

Aug. 7, 2021
