Winter Fantasyland Holiday Display in Lincoln Park

Families can head downriver to see one of the most memorable holiday displays in southeast Michigan, Winter Fantasyland, which runs select dates Nov. 30-Dec. 24, 2019.

Santa is a busy man! Between working with elves to get the toys ready and checking on the reindeer, preparing for Christmas is a big production. Want to see where the magic happens? Stop at the 55th annual Winter Fantasyland, Nov. 30-Dec. 24, 2019.

Step into a room that smells of spices because the elves made cookies and other snacks. Surround yourself with the scents of peppermint and sweet treats wafting through the air.

Do you hear that? It’s the sound of the holiday displays. Sing along with them as they play favorite Christmas songs. And who could forget the leading reindeer, including Dasher and Dancer, and their silly moments at the North Pole? See other reindeer and animals in Holiday Park and Artic Zone.

But the most important person to see before leaving Fantasyland is good ol’ St. Nick himself. Take a minute to chat with him about your Christmas wishes. Smile bright when you get your picture taken with him ($3/one photo, $5/two photos).

And while you’re on your journey, keep your eyes open. You may come across a walking snowman and Mrs. Claus.

Spend family time at the North Pole and get in the Christmas spirit! The attraction is opens at 5 p.m. the Saturday after Thanksgiving, then 4-8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2-8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, 4-8 p.m. the Monday before Christmas Eve and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Christmas Eve proper.

Fantasyland is closed most Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $1 and the display is located at Kennedy Memorial (also known as the bandshell) in Lincoln Park.
