9 Month Bump Maternity Apparel Boutique in Trenton

Expecting a baby soon – and live in the downriver area of Wayne County? The 9 Month Bump has moms-to-be covered in this southeast Michigan region, along with anyone looking for a baby shower surprise or unique present for mom or baby (grandparents, too!).

9 Month Bump

This consignment shop specializes in stylish, "slightly stretched" maternity apparel from sizes XS to 3X. You'll also find plenty of new products, like pregnancy/nursing accessories, Bella B creams, diaper clutches and purses, tutus, custom-knit hats/blankets, personalized scrapbooks and locally made gifts.

Kimberly Uy, Riverview mom of two – Maya, 6 and Blake, 3 – has built buzz since opening her store in fall of 2013.

"Maternity options in the downriver area are very limited – and affordable options are almost non-existent," Uy explains. "The 9 Month Bump was designed to have a warm and welcoming boutique setting for expectant moms, without the boutique pricing."

Most items run about 50 to 70 percent off maternity apparel retail costs, she notes. Among the goodies, you'll also find T-shirts for everyone from dad to grandma and grandpa, nursing necklaces, slings, baby carriers, maternity sashes, books, DVDs, picture frames and more.

Your bottom line? Average tops are $7-$12, jeans about $15 and dresses around $15; handmade baby gifts start at $10. It's easy to see what Uy says her shop is a place where you can "rock your bump, without breaking your bank."
