Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical at Fox Theatre

Rediscover the true meaning of Christmas at a showing of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, Nov. 20-23, 2019, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit.

This holiday season, families can see the well-known tale of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, on stage at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Nov. 20-23, 2019. Your family can come together through this show full of holiday spirit and warmth.

What can put kids and parents alike in the holiday spirit more than watching a grouchy Grinch learn to love during the season of giving – along with holiday music?

Featuring hit songs, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” the Broadway hit tells the story of the Grinch, who despises Christmas and what it stands for. With a heart “two sizes too small,” the anger inside him grows and he plans to steal to the holiday from the Whos. But through the journey, he soon finds the good that was in him all along.

His companion Max the Dog narrates the developments, as the Grinch’s heart changes due to a single act of kindness. The story teaches the idea that Christmas is about helping others, being generous and enjoying it with important people – not just about getting wonderful presents.

Celebrate the holidays with your family, friends and the Grinch, too! Tickets start at $40. Show times are as follow:

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20-Friday, Nov. 22
  • 11 a.m., 2, 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23
