FashionPlaytes: Design Your Own Clothes

FashionPlaytes is an online clothing studio where your daughter can customize pieces for her wardrobe. Yes: Your future Vera Wang can get a start designing with just a few mouse clicks!

With this website, 5 to 12 year old girls have an alternative to store-bought duds – because they can hop online and create a complete wardrobe, from dresses to pj's to accessories.

It's easy, too. All you have to do is pick an article of clothing, like an empire waist doll dress, to start (pick your size, of course). From there, select the color or pattern you would like to use. The fun really starts here – with embellishments! From appliques to rhinestones, your little gal can let her personal style shine through by picking embroidered flowers, rhinestone skulls, peace signs and much more.

Girls can spend hours customizing their dresses, t-shirts, pants and much more. What's even better? Prices for theses custom creations are reasonable. For example, that empire waist doll dress is $10 and, when you add some lace to the bottom and an applique, the price goes up to $16.50.

The company offers a $6 flat rate shipping fee for shipments in the United States, and you can expect your order to arrive in two weeks.

So if clothing stores aren't serving up the styles your daughter is looking for, check out FashionPlaytes – and let her creativity soar.
