Get plant-based comfort food made with fresh ingredients. Think soul food like mac-n-cheese, BBQ and tofu “catfish,” plus spaghetti and meatballs and lots of sandwich choices.

This fast casual takeout features plant-based bowls, smoothies, breakfast and sandos. Founded by cardiologist Dr. Joel Kahn, his wife and son, it focuses on whole foods, not junk food. Families with allergies will especially like the selection of gluten-free, nut-free options.

Planthropie

This new dessert, cheese and zero-proof bar has been created by a mom determined to put only the best and purest ingredients in her son’s belly and the bellies of all families eating a plant-based diet. Families will love the cakes and bliss balls (think nutrition-packed energy balls of yum), all minus the sugar crash. Parents and older kids will love the plant-based cheeses while the bar offers mocktails, sparkling tea and cold brews.

For families who want a casual place for a night out, Seva is a great option with its completely vegetarian menu, vegan gluten-free bread on its sandwiches and kids’ menu that gives kids choices on their food. The weekly specials have featured vegan ice cream!

Street Beet
