Rhea Lana Resale Event in Northville

Need a quick and easy way to sell your used kids stuff? Or looking for some bargains as those September school bells ring? Rhea Lana is here to help in Northville at a sale that runs Sept. 14-19.

It's part of a national company with franchises across the U.S. that hosts bi-annual consignment events. You bring in your items, prepped and priced by you. From there, Rhea Lana sells them over the course of a week. Products are guaranteed – and you earn 70 percent of the sales.

"It allows moms an opportunity to look for great quality items at reasonable prices," says Rachel Cornellier, owner of the metro Detroit franchise – which kicked off last October and has two previous sales under its belt. The event accepts clothing, shoes, toys, books, furniture, baby items, electronics, strollers, car seats and more. They also look for high-quality brands like Gap, Polo, Gymboree, Ralph Lauren and Nike.

"We have a neat and decorated layout with clearly labeled areas and clothing by size and rack," Cornellier adds. Prices start at $3, and there's a half-off sale at the end. Anything that doesn't sell is donated or returned to you (your choice), along with a check for any sales.

"We are known for being fun, friendly and family oriented," says Cornellier, who's raising her 7-year-old twins in South Lyon with husband Jason. "This event benefits not only moms, but grandmothers, aunts, dads, day care providers or anyone who has a child in their life."

Times for the sale are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Tuesday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday; half-price sale is 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday. (There's also a Sept. 13 pre-sale; check for details.) At Northville Plaza, 42275 Seven Mile Road.
