It's musical magic happening right before your eyes. That's right: Sesame Street Live Can't Stop Singing is hitting the stage at the Fox Theatre in Detroit for dozens of performances Jan. 23-Feb. 17, 2014.
Elmo, Abby Cadabby and the rest of the gang come to town on this song-filled adventure. What happens when Elmo gets his hands on Abby Cadabby's wand? Sesame Street bursts into song and dance, of course! Find out why it's so great to move, shake and sing a tune – but also why it's even good to stop sometimes.
This interactive, live performance gets the kiddies involved, too. Plus, as with all Sesame Street performances, they'll learn a lesson or two, as well.
Tickets prices are $15 and $25, or $35 for Gold Circle of $68 for Sunny Seats. There are plenty of chances to catch a performance. Show times are as follows:
- Thursday, Jan. 23: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 24: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 25: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Jan. 29: 11 a.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 30: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 31: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 1: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 2: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 6: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 7: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 8: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 9: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 14: 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 15: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 16: 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 17: 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Some options have special lower prices. For the 6:30 p.m. showing Jan. 23, which is opening/family night, all seats are $10 (except Gold Circle and Sunny Seats). Also, 11 a.m. showings on Jan. 23, Jan. 24, Jan. 29, Jan. 30, Jan. 31, Feb. 6, Feb. 7 and Feb. 14 are weekday kids matinee. Tickets are $8/schools and daycares and $10/general public for these performances.
Do you have a child with special needs? The 6:30 p.m. show on Thursday, Jan. 30 features accommodations for kids with autism, Down syndrome and other sensory difficulties. It features quiet areas, extra spacing around some seats, gluten-free concession choices and more. Tickets range $12-$35.
