The Herdmans return for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Dec. 4-20, 2015. Starlight Theater performs this show, celebrating its 10th anniversary, and invites families to watch and participate in the story about learning new things.
Based on a book by Barbara Robinson, the story follows a mother who takes over the church’s Sunday school production of the Christmas story about Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus and the wise men. After hearing the church is offering snacks, the Herdmans, a group of local misfit kids, come to audition for the show.
They take all of the parts in the play after threatening the other neighborhood kids, causing them not to audition. But for the first time, as they perform, the Herdmans hear about the story of the baby in the manger.
The congregation learns of the Herdmans acting in the play and come to see if the show falls apart. But will it? Or will this be the best Christmas pageant ever?
Families are welcome to participate in the show. The play is a funny, crazy and overall uplifting experience. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, $11 for students and $10 per child. They are available at Starlight Theater and show times weekends Dec. 4-20, 2015 are as follows:
- Fridays-Saturdays: 7:30 p.m.
- Sundays: 2 p.m.
