Traveling Through Trails, Time & Troy Scavenger Hunt

This summer, your kids can discover new places, gather fresh information, capture photos, draw and lots more – all in one city, thanks to the Traveling Through Trails, Time & Troy community scavenger hunt, which runs from June 15 until Sept. 3, 2013.

This new scavenger hunt, which is sponsored by the Troy Historical Society and the Troy Nature Society, takes you through the Stage Nature Center and Troy Historic Village – along with other parks, buildings and monuments in the city.

Your little explorer will love visiting cool new places! This scavenger hunt is mom-approved because it's fun for your wee ones – but they are still learning. The kids can earn a cool prize once they complete their booklet.

The scavenger hunt is geared toward children ages 5-10 with the help of an adult. There is also an independent hunt for ages 11-16.

There is a $5 fee for one discovery booklet, one free family admission (up to five people) to the Historic Village and a cool prize once you complete the hunt.

The Troy Historic Village is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Troy Nature Center building is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays. The nature trails are open dawn to dusk. Scavenger hunts take place during these times, or if your kid is exploring the parks, buildings and monuments, they can do that anytime.

See the Metro Parent listing for more on the Traveling Through Trails, Time & Troy scavenger hunt.
