Looking for a little extra to show your affection? Metro Parent’s roundup of Valentine’s Day-worthy goodies is here to help! We bounced around to everyone from the chains (Pottery Barn Kids, JCPenney, Janie and Jack) to the indies (Adventures in Toys in Birmingham, Yellow Door Art Market in Berkley) and found some real gems – from table decor and a darling teddy bear to adorable jeans, onesies and tulle skirts. This stuff sure made our hearts go pitter-patter!

Boy Valentine’s Day Plates by Pottery Barn Kids
With a decidedly retro tilt, these boy-geared valentine plates are, indeed, inspired by actual vintage be-mine cards from the ’60s. They’re 9 inches in diameter, totally washable and cost $12 for a pair (or about $6.50 each). The girl’s valentine plates are just as stunning and cost the same.

Valentine’s Day Table Runner by Pottery Barn Kids
We happened to spot this darling number at the PBK over at Somerset Collection (it’s no longer available online – so give them a call!). Festooned with appliqued hearts and fun-looking word “LOVE,” this table decor is made of “pure cotton canvas,” is machine washable and runs about $34.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Print Panel
A perfect pick for any child’s room, this lovely little print, mounted on wood, says, “Twinkle twinkle little star … do you know how loved you are?” It’s $35 at the Yellow Door Art Market in Berkley, Michigan.

Lion Valentine Bodysuit Onesie by Janie and Jack
Get ready to make mom melt. This small-fry romper by Janie and Jack features a little lion chomping onto a valentine heart that says – wait for it – “Wild for Mommy.” Swoon! Made of cotton and finished with an inner-neck lining of plaid canvas, it comes in sizes 0-3 to 3 and runs about $22.

They feature an elastic waist, classic zipper closure and a washable cotton-spandex blend. They run $18 and come in slim sizes 4-10, 12 and 14, including 6X.

Cozy Cradle Doll Rocker by Small World Toys
Here’s a classic little number perfect for any wee gal’s baby doll. This “cozy cradle” by Small World Toys is ready to lull tiny toys (up to 18 inches long) off to slumber. You can put it together without special tools, and it’s designed for kids ages 3 and older. It costs anywhere from $25 to $45.
