How can you choose the best? It can be difficult to decide which attractions are worth the hype and which ones your family is better off skipping.
We’re putting the spotlight on some of our favorite upcoming metro Detroit new attractions. These are places we are truly excited to check out with our families this year!

Racing Day at Huntington Place
Jan. 17, 2025
- Address: 1 Washington Blvd., Detroit
One of the new attractions in Detroit is the Detroit Auto Show will have two indoor tracks to celebrate the 2025 Grand Prix. On Racing Day, the public can see the intersection of automotive innovation and competitive motorsports. Also, attendees can interact with the racing drivers and see several stunting cars that will be on display.
Slick City at Troy Gymnastics
Late Fall 2025
- Address: 1749 Northwood Drive, Troy
Head down three doors south from TG3 for a new water park (without the water). Slick City is expected to open in late fall 2025 and will be for all ages. They will host birthday parties, fundraising events, team outings and more.
Dinoland Ann Arbor
Opening 2025
- Address: 4735 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor
Dinoland will be opening its third location overall–-but its first in Washtenaw County—in 2025. This dinosaur-themed indoor play center features a glow slide, zip lines, tunnels, bridges, a LEGO zone and more. It is great for ages 12 and under.
