Family Friendly Restaurants in Virginia Beach

Families planning the next family fun vacation will definitely want to consider Virginia Beach. If you do make the trip, and you’re searching for a spot to grab a bite, know there are some great family-friendly restaurants for kids (and mom and dad) to enjoy. Seafood reigns in this ocean-side town, but most menus have loads of options. Here, we highlight four of the area’s great family-friendly picks.

Waterman’s Surfside Grille. If your kids have never had crab, this is the place to try it. Waterman’s is also known for originating the area’s popular Orange Crush, too, which mixes fresh squeezed juice and soda.

Chick’s Oyster Bar. Located dockside, you can sample fresh-shucked oysters or Oysters Rockefeller. (Mandatory valet parking; lot is small.)

Salvatore’s Pizzeria. My kids loved all the complimentary extras like garlic knot appetizers and a dessert of fried dough doused in powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate. Go hungry; portions are generous!

Pop’s Diner Co. Arguably one of the best breakfasts in town (at least according to my crew), my kids became instant fans of the French toast followed by a close second for the buttermilk biscuits and gravy.
