Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry Show in Warren

Connect with the Earth at the Greater Detroit Gem, Mineral and Fossil Show, Oct. 11-13, 2019, at the Macomb Community College Expo Center.

Pay homage to the best of nature’s classic rocks at Michigan’s annual Greater Detroit, Gem, Mineral, Fossil and Jewelry Show, Oct. 11-13, 2019, for an up-close look at the beauty that’s been lurking beneath your soles.

This Detroit gem and mineral show is now in its 75th year! Head out to the Macomb Community College Expo Center where universities and museums far and near send representatives to introduce collectors and stone enthusiasts to outstanding displays, courtesy of the Smithsonian Institution, Seaman Museum and more.

Don’t admire the gems and fossils until you’ve taken a crash course in geology. Experts will be on site to answer questions, provide demonstrations – and don’t miss the educational lectures on paleontology, the geology of our national parks and more.

Itching to purchase your own aboriginal stones? Stop by top national dealers’ tables featuring a large selection of crystals, large stones, intricate jewelry, hosts of diamonds, gold, quartz and much more.

Buy precious natural ornaments fashioned by Mother Nature herself to decorate your home and body. Don’t underestimate how quickly the holidays will approach!

The show’s hours are as follows:

  • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday
  • 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12, $3 for uniformed scouts and $12 for a three-day pass. Parking is free.
