Macomb County

Holiday Lights at the Farm at Wolcott Mill Metropark, Farm Center

Dec. 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, 2022

Stroll through and enjoy traditional holiday decorations and thousands of sparkling lights. Write your letter to Santa and visit him in his workshop in the Dairy Barn. Dress for the weather. Registration required.

Oakland County

Magic of Lights at Pine Knob

Nov. 18-Dec. 31, 2022

Drive through this holiday-themed light display with characters using the latest LED technology and digital animations.

Downtown Rochester Festival of Trees at Rochester Community House

Nov. 19-20, 2022

Tons of 4-foot, 6-foot and even 7-foot-tall trees are festively decorated for families to explore. Also, decorated wreaths, stockings and more.

Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo

The Detroit Zoo is aglow with millions of LED lights on the zoo’s trees, buildings and more.

The Big Bright Light Show in Downtown Rochester

  • Address: Downtown Rochester, Main Street from South Bridge to Romeo Road and Fourth Street from Walnut to Water streets 

Downtown Rochester is decked in 1.5 million lights, brightening up buildings every evening.

Holiday Stroll at Canterbury Village

Nov. 23-Dec. 23, 2022 (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)

Stroll through the quaint village that is glowing with almost a million festive lights, enjoy a seven-minute amazing light show choreographed to classic holiday songs, hear the sounds of professional carolers and see live Christmas performances.

Holiday Walk at Meadow Brook Hall

Nov. 25-Dec. 23, 2022

Take a walk around the historic house and grounds to see more than 50 decorated trees including a 10-foot-tall tree made entirely out of poinsettias.

Winter Wonderlights at Meadow Brook Hall

Nov. 25-Dec. 30, 2022

Visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark at its most festive time. There will be seasonal beverages, bonfires, selfie stations and more.

Wayne County

Wayne County Lightfest at Merriman Hollow Park

Nov. 17-Dec. 24, 2022 (Wednesdays-Sundays)

A magical four-mile stretch of Hines Park, displaying nearly 50 animated themed displays and more than 100,000 lights.

Light Up Beacon Park 

Nov. 18, 2022-Jan. 16, 2023 

Children of all ages can enjoy this annual event as it transforms Beacon Park into a winter wonderland. It will feature a light display with more than 125,000 LED lights, holiday music and more.

Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village

Dec. 2-4, 9-11, 15-23, 26-28, 2022

Walk the candle-lit village streets to see live entertainment, shops decked out for the holidays and lots of free activities. Plus take a horse-drawn carriage ride, go ice skating and watch the marvelous fireworks display.

Lights, Trails and Seasonal Tales at Lake Erie Metropark, Marshlands Museum

Meet a variety of Christmas-themed character around the luminated nature trail. For ages 8 and up.
