Kid-Friendly Brunch Spots in Metro Detroit and Ann Arbor

After a long weekend, there’s no feeling like letting someone else do the cooking — and the dishes! Whether your family is craving a juicy burger or french toast for a mid-day meal, these local restaurants are sure to deliver a delicious meal.

We have compiled a list of family-friendly brunch spots in southeast Michigan that has something everyone will love – even the pickiest of eaters.

Anna’s House

The kids menu includes a kiddie combo, silver dollar pancakes, kiddie combo, snowy French toast, grilled cheese, chicken fingers, cheeseburger and mac & cheese. The vegan kids menu includes a vegan kiddie combo, vegan grilled cheese, vegan silver dollar pancakes and vegan sausage. All come with a beverage.

Bath City Bistro

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat brunch every Sunday at this spot in the heart of downtown Mount Clemens. Think scrambled eggs, potatoes, French toast, biscuits & sausage gravy, mac and cheese, assorted fruit and more. Parents can enjoy a bloody mary or mimosa for an extra charge.

Berkley Common

For the “Common Kids,” it has a kids burger, chicken tenders and grilled cheese. All kids meals are for ages 12 and under come with a drink and fries. The brunch menu is served until 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and until 3:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Bistro Zola

Families can enjoy brunch here all day. The kids menu is available upon request. It does have yummy crepes with flavors like strawberry banana, Nutella banana, Zola’s harvest, Florentine and more.

Bobcat Bonnie’s

Brunch is available here every Saturday and Sunday and they have a specific brunch menu for you to look at during those times. Ages 21 and up will love all the brunch cocktails and the cereal shooter flight made with your favorite breakfast cereals. There are some really great breakfast options on the sweeter side like churro doughnuts, carnival waffles, lucky unicorns French toast and more.

Family Table Café

This brunch spot is located in downtown Auburn Hills. The kids meals here are mini pancakes, French toast stix, mini cheese omelet, grilled cheese and fries, mini burger and fries and chicken tenders and fries. All kids meals come with a fresh fruit cup and a drink.

First Watch

  • Address: Various locations in Ann Arbor, Canton, Livonia, Northville, Novi, Royal Oak, Shelby Township, Sterling Heights and Troy

The food here is fresh and made to order. The kids menu features bacon and egg, half waffle, chocolate chip pancake, French toast and grilled cheese. It has a juice bar and other beverages like Cinnamon Toast cereal milk, mimosas, pomegranate sunrise, vodka kale tonic and more.

HAUS OF BRUNCH

Enjoy seasonal favorites, skillets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, sandwiches, salads, omelets and more. There are so many options on the menu that kids are sure to find something they will love.

Jagged Fork

  • Address: Various locations in Ann Arbor, Dearborn Heights, Grosse Pointe Farms, Lathrup Village, Rochester Hills and West Bloomfield

There are so many one-of-a-kind brunch meals offered. Try something exciting like s’more French toast, chicken Florentine crepe, banana Nutella crepes and much more. For the kiddos 12 and under, they have French toast, eggs and toast and Mickey Mouse Pancakes. A free drink is included with each kids meal.

Joe Louis Southern Kitchen

Their kids menu has chicken and waffles, Mickey Mouse pancakes, golden French toast, chicken strips and fries, mini early bird and grilled cheese. Try one of the unique griddle options like cinnamon roll flapjacks, key lime pie flapjacks, southern cobbler French toast and banana foster French toast.

Johnny Black’s Public House

  • Address: Various locations in Lake Orion, Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights and Waterford 

There are many brunch options that kids will enjoy at Johnny Black’s on Sundays. They can enjoy French toast, pancakes, breakfast sliders and much more. Parents can enjoy an Irish coffee, bloody mary, bottomless mimosa or beermosa.

Le Andos Café

This brunch spot has many unique griddle options like Reese Peanut Butter stuffed pancakes, fruity tooty pancakes, pineapple upside down pancakes, red velvet stuffed French toast, red, white and blue stuffed French toast and more.

Mama’s Restaurant

The kids corner has a menu for ages 12 and under (dine-in only). It features a hot dog and fries, a hamburger and fries, tenders and fries, egg with sausage or bacon and pancakes or French toast with bacon or sausage.

Orange Peel Restaurant

The kids menu is for ages 12 and under and includes pancakes or French toast with meat, eggs, meat and toast, hot dog with fries, grilled cheese with fries, hamburger or cheeseburger with fries, chicken strips with fries and wing dings with fries. All are served with a small beverage.

Paulee’s

This restaurant has a kids meal for ages 12 and under. It features French toast, one egg with hash browns and meat, cheeseburger with fries, grilled cheese with fries, spaghetti and strawberry crepes.

Poached

The kids menu features cheeseburger and fries, grilled cheese and fries, chicken strips and fries, egg and hash brown, pancakes and French toast. Plus, many French toast options including caramel apple French toast, pebble French toast, peanut butter and jelly French toast and many more.

Public House

It offers a brunch menu and a vegan brunch menu. Kids will enjoy the birthday cake French toast, strawberry shortcake French toast, candied bacon and more. It also has a bunch of mocktails for children and non-drinkers and peanut butter chocolate cake, hazelnut torte, caramel banana panna cotta and lemon cheesecake for dessert.

Rochester Brunch House

The spot is located in the heart of downtown Rochester. It has a unique and beautiful atmosphere. The kids menu is for ages 10 and under. It features a teddy bear pancake with one egg and two bacon or two sausage and a grilled cheese and fries. The drink is not included. Walk-ins only.

The Copper Kettle

The “Kettle Meals” are eggs with meat and toast, French toast sticks with meat, pancakes with meat, Kraft mac and cheese, cheeseburger and fries, cheese pepperoni pizza, chicken strips and fries, grilled cheese on Texas toast and fries, fish and fries and linguine pasta marinara or alfredo sauce.

The Cracked Egg of Grosse Pointe

“Young Hatchlings” can order from their own menu. It features grilled cheese and fries, chicken tenders and fries, French toast, eggs with toast and either bacon or sausage, grilled PB&J sandwich and fruit and Mickey Mouse pancakes.

The Hudson Café

Come check out this restaurant known for its amazing brunch food. The “Little Friends” menu features eggs and toast, Mickey Mouse pancakes, French toast, chicken fingers and waffle fries and grilled cheese and waffle fries.

The Pantry Restaurant 

The kids menu is for ages 10 and under. For breakfast options, it has French toast with an egg or meat, one egg with meat or four silver dollar pancakes with an egg or meat. For lunch/dinner options, it has fish & chips, grilled cheese or a hamburger (all are served with fries).

Three Cats [at Leon & Lulu]

Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays. “Kittens” can order from the kids menu. It features a hot cake with choice of bacon or sausage, one egg with choice of bacon or sausage and Battle Creek Corn Flake crusted French toast with choice of bacon or chicken sausage.

Vinny’s Brunch

This brunch place has a kids menu with items like French toast sticks, Mickey Mouse pancakes, eggs, meat and toast, cheeseburger and fries, grilled cheese and fries and chicken tenders and fries.

WaterMark Bar and Grille 

This restaurant has a brunch menu on Sundays. The “Little Skippers” brunch menu for ages 12 and under features grilled cheese, pancakes and one egg and protein of choice. Parents can enjoy an adult beverage with their meal including a spicy bloody mary, mimosas, apple cider mimosas, tequila sunrise mimosas and more.

Zef’s Dockside Bar + Kitchen

This restaurant has a brunch menu, specifically for kids. It has silver dollar pancakes, French toast sticks, egg and cheese bagel and cheesy scrambled eggs. All kids meals are served with breakfast potatoes.
