Spring Festival at Kensington Metropark Farm Center in Milford

Ring in spring with family activities during the annual Spring Festival at Kensington Metropark, which runs April 27-28, 2019.

Put the spring back into your step April 27-28, 2019, during the annual family-friendly Spring Festival at Kensington Metropark in Milford, where you’ll be greeted by baby animals as well as cows, lambs, pigs and chickens.

While there will be spring babies to get acquainted with, the main event of the weekend will be the sheep shearing.

Stop by the farm and take a tour to watch the sheep get their annual haircuts and learn more about animals in the process.

Rosco the Clown will also be in attendance to serve up balloon animals and laughs.

Take a hayride or stop by the Kensington Living History Village to learn more about early pioneers, too. The Living History Village boasts an authentic hearth and offers blacksmithing, woodworking, fiber arts and cooking demonstrations throughout the year.

The full event runs noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Most of the activities are free, but fees will apply for some activities, including hayrides.

Admission to the event is also free, but a Metropark parking permit is required to enter the park. A daily admission pass is $10 per car but there are also annual options, which run $35 for the standard annual pass and $21 for the seniors pass.
