Metro Detroit restaurants are helping families spend less time in the kitchen and more time together with chef-prepared Thanksgiving meals to go.

For parents juggling school schedules, travel plans and family visits, cooking an entire Thanksgiving meal might feel like one task too many. Luckily, several metro Detroit restaurants are offering take-home feasts that let you skip the stress without skipping the flavor.

From full buffets and two-course menus to chef-prepared sides ready to reheat, here’s where families can pre-order Thanksgiving meals in 2025 — no dishes required.

Capital Grille

  • Cost: $135 (serves 4 people)

The Capital Grille’s Thanksgiving Sides at Home bundle lets families skip the prep and still enjoy a chef-made holiday spread with brioche sage stuffing, turkey gravy, Sam’s mashed potatoes, French green beans with ginger butter, pecan-crusted sweet potatoes with hot honey, cranberry-pear chutney and seeded rolls. Reheating instructions are included so the meal can be ready in under an hour.

Ernie’s Mediterranean Room

  • Pick-up times: 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Nov. 27
  • Cost: $42 per takeout dinner; $54 per adult and $17 per child (buffet)

Ernie’s Mediterranean Room in Clinton Township offers two ways to celebrate Thanksgiving: a Grand Buffet from 1–7 p.m. with more than 65 dishes including roasted turkey, honey-baked ham, Grandma’s dressing, candied yams and homemade pumpkin pies, or a $42 curbside turkey dinner featuring roasted turkey breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, yams, vegetables, salad, a cornbread muffin and pumpkin pie. Orders for takeout must be prepaid by Nov. 24.

Fleming’s Steakhouse

Fleming’s Steakhouse will offer a two-course Thanksgiving menu on Nov. 27 featuring filet mignon, ribeye or roasted turkey with stuffing and classic sides. Families can also order catering bundles between Nov. 21–30, including a Full Spread for six or a Sides Bundle, available for pickup at both the Birmingham and Livonia locations.

Gandy Dancer

Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor is offering a Thanksgiving feast to-go with a 20-pound whole turkey, traditional sides and desserts for $325, serving 10–12 people. Orders are due by Sunday, Nov. 24, with pickup available Nov. 26–27. The restaurant will also serve a Thanksgiving prix fixe menu featuring a three-course turkey dinner with classic starters, sides and desserts ($49 for adults, $21 for kids) and a holiday prix fixe option for $59. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Rugby Grille

Rugby Grille at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham is offering a Thanksgiving To-Go dinner for two that includes a fall harvest salad, sage and peppercorn roast turkey with giblet gravy, brioche and chestnut stuffing, mashed potatoes, haricots verts, candied squash and cranberry relish. Dessert features a choice of two mini pies — apple, pumpkin or pecan. Orders must be placed by 9 p.m. Nov. 23.

Zingerman’s Roadhouse

Zingerman’s Roadhouse in Ann Arbor is offering Thanksgiving To-Go meals featuring oven-roasted or coffee-spice smoked turkey, classic sides and desserts. Families can also add breakfast pastries and discounted bottles of wine. Orders can be placed online for pickup on Nov. 25 or 26, and each package includes easy reheating instructions for a simple, ready-to-serve holiday meal.
