See where education meets imagination at this Birmingham indoor play place

Visit the Fascination Factory, an indoor community play spot where kids can learn, create and celebrate.

Fascination Factory is an indoor play-based learning center, toy store and event venue for kids 6 years old and under. The space is dedicated to providing children with screen-free hands-on learning and imaginative play.

Fascination Factory was founded by certified play expert Lacey Foon so that her community could have a safe, clean educational space for child development in a post-COVID world. Foon both owns the spaces and curates the toys.

Fun for adults and kids at Fascination Factory

At Fascination Factory, kids can participate in a combination of pretend play and themed pop-up activities that allow them to get creative, work on their motor skills and be social. Every couple days, the space has something new for the kids to try.

Music play options include arts and crafts projects, STEM-realted activities, sensory and matching games, a peg wall and plenty of toys, such as building blocks, dominoes, cars, trains and more. Fascination Factory sells these same toys and provides free wrapping and delivery.

The space’s nut-free cafe includes a vending machine and a coffee machine, making it a comfortable spot for kids to grab snacks if they get hungry during playtime and for parents to sit while they watch their kids play.

Special activities for little ones

Fascination Factory also holds Summer and Break Camps for kids who need something to do when they’re not in school, which takes some stress off of working parents. Camp Fascinate is a Montessori-style program where kids can make crafts, conduct experiments, play sports and do other outdoor activities, like making sidewalk chalk art and play on splash pads.

Fascination Factory is also a fun birthday party venue. Kids who celebrate their birthday parties at Fascination Factory get the whole place to themselves and can go all out with arts and crafts, science experiments, soft play, food, decorations, face paint, goody bags and more. Parties are held on weekends only, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.
