Community Sailing School

June 10 – Aug. 23, 2024

The Community Sailing School Foundation, CSSF, formerly known as Pontiac Sailing Education Foundation, PSEF, is Southeast Michigan’s premiere Junior Sailing Program. The program is hosted at Pontiac Yacht Club on Cass Lake in Keego Harbor.

CSSF youth programs provide a full spectrum of daily sailing instruction including:

  • June 10-Aug. 23, 2024: Learn to sail, weekly and biweekly
  • June 10-Aug. 23, 2024: Intermediate summer program, weekly and biweekly
  • June 10-Aug. 16, 2024: Junior racing team, full summer and nine weeks of training

CSSF is the home of more than 14 local high school teams, in both the fall and spring seasons each year. This program is a great way to enhance your sailing ability for all school programs and beyond, a skill that can be used for a lifetime. 

CSSF coaches are trained to keep children safe while having fun. Coach instructors are U.S. Sailing Level 1 certified. Campers bring lunch in an insulated bag, a life jacket and everything else you would need for a day at the beach.

2024 Sports & Game Camps at Franklin Athletic Club

June 10-Aug. 30, 2024

Dive into the ultimate summer fun at Franklin Athletic Club’s 2024 Sports & Game Camps in Southfield! The JV Camp, best for ages 7-9, and the Varsity Camp, perfect for ages 10-12, offer a blend of sports, swimming, gymnastics, and outdoor play. Moose Athletics Baseball Summer Camp

Boys and Girls Club of Troy

Begins June 17, 2024

  • Cost: Prices start at $100/week with the $70 annual fee
  • Best for ages: 6-18

This camp offers an affordable rate for a six-hour daily schedule from Monday-Friday. For an extra $30/sport or $100 for all four, a program in soccer, flag football, basketball or softball/baseball can be added. Or, for $30/child, add fitness classes like gymnastics.

Windermere Equestrian Center Summer Camps

June 17-Aug. 9, 2024

Experience the joy of horses at Windermere Equestrian Center’s 2024 camps in Clinton Township. Pony Pal Camp (June 17-Aug. 9) is “horse kindergarten” for ages 4-8, offering a gentle introduction to horse care. Horsemanship Day School (June 24-July 26) for ages 8 and older focuses on mounted lessons for kids enrolled in equestrian lessons.

Kidsport Inclusive Summer Camps

June 17-Aug. 16, 2024

Kidsport offers families two daily session options. Kids ages 4-11 can attend morning sessions from 8 a.m.-noon while kids ages 4-6 can attend afternoon sessions from 1-4 p.m. Kidsport Adaptive camp offers physical activities planned to meet a diverse set of physical, cognitive and social needs, with additional modifications as needed based on caregiver input and instructor observation.

Tigers Youth Baseball and Softball Camps

June 17-Aug. 23, 2024

  • Best for ages: 6-14

Born Yoga Studio Camps

June 17-Aug. 23, 2024 

Discover the serenity of yoga at Born Yoga Studio’s summer camps. For ages 3-8, the Peace, Love, and Yoga Camp offers themed weeks, exploring fairies, mermaids, pirates, princesses, and more. Aerial and Acro Yoga Camp caters to ages 7 and up, showcasing impressive moves in aerial and acro poses.

Horsemanship Day School at Windermere Equestrian Center

June 24-July 26, 2024 

This camp is for ages 8 and older (younger if approved by the rider’s instructor) that are currently enrolled in lessons at Windermere Equestrian Center or another hunter/jumper equestrian facility. Campers will take part in feeding, bathing, grooming, clipping, braiding, lunging and basic first-aid care.

Soccer Camp at The Roeper School

July 22-Aug. 16, 2024

Campers will travel by bus to the UWM Sports Complex where they will practice fundamental soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting as well as participate in scrimmages.

TGA Junior Golf Summer Camp

June-August 2024

  • Address: Camp locations in Detroit, Novi, Northville, New Haven, Oakland Township, Southfield, Plymouth, Washington, Royal Oak, Canton and New Hudson.
  • Cost: $245-$495
  • Best for ages: First grade to age 16

TGA Premier Junior Golf Camps guide kids by combining expert instruction, course play and learning activities. Groups are paired by age and skill and the camp maintains a low camper to instructor ratio.
