Art Classes for Kids in Macomb County

There are many great classes and opportunities for your little artists in Macomb County.

Do you have a little Picasso at home constantly drawing and creating their own masterpieces? If so, then maybe it’s time to let them hone in on their skills at these art classes in Macomb County.

Here, your child will learn how to draw, mold and create something they can be proud of. And you can be proud too, knowing that they are learning new skills and doing something productive after school or on weekends.

Art classes fill up fast, so make sure you register ahead of time. Classes are subject to change. 

Anton Art Center

Anton Art Center is in a neoclassical building in downtown Mount Clemens. It offers art classes to kids ages 6-12 in oil and watercolor painting, loom weaving, mosaics, mixed media, ceramics, acrylic flow and resin pouring. Their First State Bank Tuition Scholarship is open to all Macomb County residents and allows eligible students to register for art classes without having to pay for tuition or supplies.

AR Workshop Macomb 

This art studio offers youth art camps and classes. Kids can create signs, pillows, wall hangings, totes, frames and more. The after-school series is recommended for ages 7-14. They also have DIY-To-Go kits for you to purchase and take with you or have shipped to your home.

Mini Picassos

This drop-in art studio offers creative stations, DIY art kits and lots of art classes for kids of all ages. It also features a story time for little ones where they will hear a story and create artwork. Other classes include clay, tie-dying, papier-mache, mod podge and more.

The Art Shack SCS

This school offers classes as well as open studio time and clubs for kids. They teach drawing, painting and other arts and crafts.
