DMC Medical Group’s Women’s Services Offerings

Women in southeast Michigan can get an appointment with a top-notch OB-GYN in a short amount of time, online – and anywhere in the region.

When choosing an OB-GYN, there are many considerations to take into account, but among those, two are key: accessibility and reliability.

Through DMC Medical Group, one of southeast Michigan’s longtime health care providers, women have access to highly-trained experts whenever it’s most convenient for them.

With locations across the region, from downtown Detroit all the way up to Hartland, women have options. See a doctor in Macomb County, but work in Detroit? Patients can see doctors wherever is convenient, explains Amy Anderson, a market ops manager with DMC Medical Group who oversees Obstetrics and Gynecology.

The best part? Ease of scheduling appointments. Whether a brand new or existing patient, women can go online to DMC Medical Group’s web page, pick a provider or location and schedule an appointment – 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

“Most of our practices are able to make same day or next day appointments,” Anderson adds.

The hours are also practical for moms and women with any variety of schedules. “We have extended all of our office hours for most of our practices,” Anderson says. “We have OB-GYN providers that have evening hours (and) weekend hours.”

And, there’s nothing these physicians can’t provide, from the standard Pap smear to a high-risk prenatal care – or hormone therapy later down the road – DMC Medical Group’s physicians are available and well-trained, Anderson says.

Three of the group’s OB-GYNs specialize in robotic surgeries. Some noninvasive surgeries can now be done in the office vs. at the hospital, Anderson adds. One of the medical group’s doctors, Hsin Wang, M.D., specializes in urogynecology and incontinence.

Plus, OB-GYNs within DMC Medical Group are affiliated with the Detroit Medical Center’s well-known area hospitals. Recently, Erin Suminski, CNM, a nurse midwife, joined the staff to help deliver babies out of DMC Huron Valley-Sinai in Commerce.

“There’s not any problem that we’re going to see that we’re going to refer outside,” Anderson says, pointing to the group’s physicians who are up-to-date on the latest practices. “We provide expert care to women from their pre-reproductive years to growing their families through pregnancy and child birth all the way throughout menopause and the delicate changes that women face as we age.”

If there’s anything the DMC Medical Group prides itself on it’s being there for its patients whenever and wherever they most need it, meaning women can establish a long-lasting, trusting relationship with their OB-GYN.

To make an appointment with a DMC Medical Group physician, book online by visiting and searching by specialty, provider or location.
