Finding the perfect pumpkin during this season is a piece of pumpkin pie when you travel up to the beautiful farmlands of Casco! Only 45 minutes northeast of the heart of Detroit, you will be pleased to spend your family-fun fall day here at Cornfun.
The weather was perfect for us and when you go to Cornfun, the sun will shine, there will be a slight chill in the air, but not too cold and the day will be the magnificent autumn day you hoped for!
The boys and I had an opportunity to relax, have fun and most of all enjoy the sunny day here at Cornfun and we had such a great time sipping on our apple cider slushies. Here is what to expect when you go north to Casco:

Our family (a 16 year old and a 10 year old with grandma) was warmly greeted by the lovely ladies at the ticket booth. With nothing but smiles and lots of information, it was our first time here. We decided to purchase the tickets at the farm as opposed to online. Choose what is best for you!
As we stepped into this wide open space, the first thing on our mind was … food! The concessions offered a variety of foods, from pizza to kielbasa, perfect for even the pickiest eaters. Of course, don’t miss out on their freshly made cider and cinnamon sugar donuts. My teen loved the cider slushe, which is perfect for a warmer day.
The maze madness
The kids had a blast in the huge corn maze and on top of that, there was a cool “Whodunit?” scavenger hunt. We won’t tell you who did it, you have to find out for yourself. Entering the maze wasn’t overwhelming, it is great for the younger ones to follow this cool trail and not feel lost!.
Family-fun activities galore
We recommend spending the day here, there is so much to do and see other than the maze:

- The pig race — fun for the teens too!
- A corn box — great for toddlers
- Scattered mind and skill games

- Rat races — my 10-year-old’s fave!

- Picnic areas (for big groups)
Pumpkin time
We loaded up on the short 5-minute hayride to the fields! Today in addition to picking pumpkins, the farm was filled with the most beautiful flowers, from color-popping zinnias to huge sunflowers. The best part is that they were U-Pick for free today. Remember to call ahead to see if this event is still relevant.
The variety of pumpkins at Cornfun was impressive, ranging from small decorative gourds to those giant ones you see in front of neighborhood homes. Whether you’re looking to carve a spooky face or set up a cute front porch display, Cornfun has the perfect pick.
If you don’t want to pick pumpkins on the patch, they also sell all sorts of sizes ranging from $5-$25! What a steal!
Pack the fam and go
