Detroit’s dog lovers, grab your leashes! Grand Circus Dog Park is kicking off a seasonal lineup of free dog-centric events, hosted by the Downtown Detroit Partnership and presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions. These events turn the park into a true gathering place for pet parents and families.

Presented by Strategic Staffing Solutions, this dog-friendly event lineup invites families and their four-legged friends to enjoy a tail-wagging good time in the heart of the city. The upcoming events on select days between 2-4 p.m. include:

  • Pupnic in the Park (July 26): Celebrate summer with your pup at Grand Circus Dog Park! Enjoy treats, music, games, grooming, giveaways and more.
  • Doggie Pool Paw-ty (Aug. 23): Bring your pup for pools, treats, games, music, and summer fun.
  • TAILgate (Sept. 27): Dress up in team gear with your pup and enjoy sports-themed games, music, treats, hot dogs, prizes and a festive football vibe.
  • Howl-o-ween (Oct. 25): Celebrate Halloween with your pup in costume! Enjoy contests, prizes, spooky games, treats, giveaways, and festive beats at this frightfully fun dog party.

There’s even more to see and do in the D this summer! While you’re downtown, make it a full family day with these free and low-cost activities:

  • Go to the movies. Catch a free movie under the stars with the Downtown Detroit Parks “Movie Nights in the D” series.
  • Visit The Beach at Campus Martius Park. At this urban beach, kids can dig in the sand while parents relax with a cold drink.
  • Stop by Campus Kids Day. This free event series brings family-friendly activities, games, crafts and entertainment to Campus Martius Park.
