Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds Exhibit at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn

Set phasers to fun and discover a sci-fi masterpiece at the Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds exhibit, which is on display in Dearborn May 11-Sept. 2, 2019.

Is your kid into Star Trek? Then it’s highly illogical that they miss the Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn.

This temporary interactive exhibit, which is organized by the Museum of Pop Culture in Washington, opens on May 11, 2019, and features more than 100 artifacts and props seen in the beloved sci-fi franchise.

Kids and grown-ups alike will be in awe as they climb behind the original U.S.S. Enterprise navigation console, explore the transporter simulator and recreate the memorable “KHAAAN” scream scene in the exhibit’s scream booth.

In addition, fans can get up close to rare costumes like Spock’s tunic, Geordi La Forge’s visor and the 2013 version of Captain Picard’s uniform – plus view original scripts, storyboards and concept art.

The Star Trek: Exploring New Worlds exhibit is on display in the gallery by General Motors at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, May 11-Sept. 2, 2019.

A special limited-engagement opening party full of music, cocktails and prizes happens 5-8:30 p.m. on May 16, 2019. Admission to the opening party runs $21.25/members and $25/nonmembers.

General admission to the exhibit is free with museum admission, which is $18/ages 5-11, $22/seniors and $24/ages 12-61. Parking is $6/vehicle.
